After leaving school Mike Fletcher studied TV engineering at Walsall Technical College and obtained a number of City & Guilds qualifications. He then worked in a number of different independent TV repair shops within the Birmingham area.

In 1987 Mike Fletcher made the decision to start his own TV repair business, operating from a converted garage at his home in Walmley. By 1991 the business had considerably expanded and suitable business premises were sought. Kings Business Park on the Kings Road in Great Barr  had recently opened. After the complete refurbishment it consisted of offices at the front and ten self-contained light industrial units at the rear. So in June 1991 Mike Fletcher Electronics moved in to Unit 3 Kings Business Park.

This unit worked well as a service facility for TV and audio repairs, however, we began getting many more sales enquiries so decided to seek a modest retail shop in order to display a range of televisions and other equipment. In July of 1999 we received the keys to our present premises and after a major refurbishment we opened for business in November 1999.
