If your existing TV has developed a fault and it still suits your requirements in terms of screen size and facilities, then why not have it repaired?

Sadly, if the screen is broken then unfortunately in almost every case a repair is not viable. However, almost all other problems will be repairable. The average life span of a TV is normally somewhere between 7 – 10 years, sometimes even older, so if your TV is still comparatively young it makes perfect sense to have it repaired.

It’s also much better for the climate and our planet to continue using your present TV, rather than disposing it, often as landfill waste.

Sadly, if you are unlucky enough to have experienced a mishap with your television and broken the screen then unfortunately in almost every case a repair is not viable.

As a result, even though the outer layer of the screen is intact if your picture resembles this photo then the LCD panel has been irretrievably damaged.

Often a replacement screen is not available, but even if it is, after taking into account the cost of the screen itself, as well as the labour charge for fitting it, it is almost certainly going to be cheaper for you to buy a new TV instead.

Therefore we advise you to check to see if you are insured for accidental damage, either through your house contents insurance or an extended warranty.

First of all, whether we call out to your home or you bring your appliance into our workshop we do make an initial non-refundable deposit, this covers our costs in diagnosing the fault. If a repair is completed the initial deposit is deducted from the total cost of the bill. We charge a slightly higher when calling out to a customer’s home, please call us for details.

Initially, we will  repair up to a certain repair limit, depending on the type of equipment, should the repairs exceed that ceiling then we will consult with you to seek your approval prior to proceeding with your repair. This is not a minimum charge.

Payment is accepted by credit & debit cards and bank transfer.

Please note that due to the difficulty in obtaining spare parts we do not accept repairs on appliances older than twelve years.

We regularly receive calls from customers complaining of either missing Freeview channels, picture break-up or mosaicing on some programmes.

Sometimes this can be due to a fault with the aerial installation itself, but other times this can be due to an installation or wiring fault within the inside of the house.

Did you know that as part as our television service & repairs solution we offer an aerial checking facility in which we will call out and check the signal strength for you to establish where the problem is occurring? If it is within the home we can usually resolve the issue ourselves, if it is the aerial then you will have to contact an aerial contractor to rectify the problem.

If you’ve had a new piece of equipment arrive and you don’t feel confident in installing it yourself, then give us a call, we offer a full installation service, irrespective as to where you purchased it from.

We will unbox it, connect all the necessary cables, including any ancillary equipment. We’ll then set it up, including tuning it in, connecting to your broadband connection and ensuring that all services are fully working.

Finally, we will take you through the basics on how to operate your new TV to ensure that you are confident in using it.
